Job Description

Job Title: Large Scale Quantum Bus Researcher. Location: Yorktown Heights, NY, USA

Responsibilities:

• Develop and research scalable quantum buses to connect QPUs.
• Design and analyze low-loss interconnects for quantum processors;
• Collaborate with experimental physicists, engineers, and materials scientists to refine quantum bus architectures.
• Conduct hands-on experiments, including cryogenic electronics and superconducting material analysis.
• Optimize metal-superconductor contacts and measure interface performance.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in physics, materials science, or a related field.
• Proven ability to conduct scientific research in quantum hardware;
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic and quantum physics.
• Experience in circuit design, simulation, and custom experimental control software.

Preferred:

• PhD in physics, materials science, or related field.
• Experience with cryogenic electronics and superconducting materials.
• Hands-on expertise with dilution fridges and quantum device operation.
• Deep understanding of metal-superconductor contact physics;
• Experience with metal deposition techniques (e-beam evaporation, thermal evaporation, sputtering, electroplating).
• Knowledge of material characterization and cryogenic measurement techniques.
